it was nights like last night that makes me look up into the cloudy amsterdam sky and thank god i have,
1) a bicycle
2) alcoholic friends
3) feet that managed to survive walking around for hours in heels (stupid, stupid idea)
4) friends, who like me, gets as quickly enthusiastic about something and as quickly disinterested.
5) a sense of direction to guide me home
museum night was a good concept- 40 museums open up their doors from 7pm to 2am and they have parties and djs and culturally enriching activities going on, but for some reason or the other, we thought it sucked big time.
it costed us 14 euros each, which to us is a fortune because we're cheap as hell (50 cents for a trip to the bathroom? forget it, we'd rather get UTI) and it was honestly mentally and physically draining-
the waiting around coupled together with the exciting zoo tour definitely killed our spirits.
by the time we ended up at the children's science centre where they had a big dance party,
we were almost 2 seconds away from collapsing into each other's bored asses.
i think that it could have potentially been very fun, except we weren't in the mood for a good time,
and as danika would say: "we're just not drunk enough for that shit."
boredom is contagious, and it lingers much like a hangover.
